The Seafoam Islands (ふたごじま; Twin Islands) are two identical islands found on Route 19.
Overview[]
The Seafoam Islands are located on Route 19, and serve as the home of the Legendary Bird Pokémon, Articuno. Red uses his newly traded Gyara to surf to the islands in hope of capturing Articuno. While searching the island, he runs into Team Rocket, who are also attempting to capture the Pokémon. Articuno is found, though it has frozen itself in order to avoid battle. After a skirmish between Red and Harry, Articuno breaks free, aids Red, and then flies off.
