Nanu (クチナシ; Kuchinashi) is the Kahuna of Ula'ula Island.

Nanu and the other Kahuanas convene to discuss the recent events of the Guardian Pokémon appearing before humans at nearly the same time. He asks about Poni Island's Kahuna, and then confirms the sightings of Tapu Bulu. The three later agree to have Alolan youth partake in the island challenge in order to appease the Tapu, and the youth will be selected at the next day's festival. Nanu then battles with Olivia to test out the festival's battle stage, where he first demonstrates his Z-Ring and the Darkinium Z. He remains skeptical of the using the island challenge to appease the Tapu.
