History[]
Onix is first seen alongside Brock watching the matches going on in Pewter Gym. When Red finally makes it to the finals against Brock, Onix is the sole Pokémon Brock uses. Onix proves to be a heavy hitter, and, according to Brock, is able to use speeds that create shock waves. Ultimately, though, Onix is defeated by Red's Pika.
